Solenoid valves are divided into normally closed and normally open; usually choose normally closed type, open when turned on and close when turned off. However, when opening time is long and closing time is short, normally open type should be selected.
The fluid in pipeline must match calibration fluid in selected solenoid valve model. The fluid temperature must be below calibration temperature of solenoid valve. Each solenoid valve has a specific pipe diameter and some are available in more than one diameter.
Among various types of solenoid valves, choose most economical one.
